I'm in a Rope Rescue Technician class this week with the Greenwood Fire Department. Diving off a 4-story building on a half-inch of rope is a BLAST! You should see a picture slideshow below, or you can go here to see the pics full size. More pictures will be posted later in the week.
Yeah, you get a really good view of my left foot in one picture. When you go over a ledge, you have to rotate out until your legs are parallel to the ground before you step down onto the wall. Your brain is screaming at you to step earlier. Well I stepped just a second too late, when my body had just gained a little downward momentum. The result? Inversion on the line. But its not big deal, just see where you are on the line, find your equipment and flip back over then continue on a nice descent.
