Thinking...

After Hurricane Katrina, while envolved in an animated discussion about the adequacy of disaster plans, I developed Jim's Three Rules of Plans. They are:

1. All plans are hedged bets. We're silently betting the disaster won't be as bad as it could be.

2. All plans are based on the last, worst disaster.

3. We can't plan for what we can't imagine.

But, today I find myself in a meeting for yet more planning. The Three Rules will be amended soon. Ugh!
