If you were wondering

Yes, there is a wedding being planned.  January 15, 2011, to be exact.  Small and intimate, to be followed by a raucous party with some of our closest friends, and food from one of my favorite chefs.  Invitations are going out very soon. 

Here's the ring, up-close and personal.

Pretty, isn't it?  Diamonds and sapphires - her birthstone.  She's excited, and it's fun to watch her plan.  Oh the plans!...way too many details for my tastes - even a small wedding.  I can't imagine the details of a large event.  I'd go crazy.

There you have it.  Nothing glorious, just taking the next logical step.
