Characters: Sleepy mom (SM), and Awake Child (AC)
AC, stealthily standing by the bed until SM wakes....
SM: "Why are you up?"
AC: "Because I can't go to sleep!"
SM: "Get back upstairs in your bed."
AC releases a long, exasperated sigh and leaves the room, footsteps heard climbing the stairs.
(Three minutes later, AC again at SM's bedside, emphatically...)
AC: "See mom, I told you I couldn't fall asleep."
