Firefighter Combat Challenge trials held in Pearl today. The support he showed the men & women of the Pearl FD cannot be replaced. Way to go, mayor!
The challenge is a physically demanding endeavor, even for young, physically fit firefighters. The challenge is designed to promote physical fitness among firefighters. Annually, about half of firefighter fatalities are caused by heart attacks and strokes, and the challenge raises awareness of that.
