Typical summertime weather pattern.  HOT, clouds tease with the threat of rain that usually never comes.  If it does, it usually rains too little to cool things down, but just enough to really make it steamy.  Luckily though, later today we got a good cooling shower late enough in the afternoon to make it worthwhile.

Oh, and one more thing about living in the Delta.  This rain was about 20 miles away from me at the time I took the picture.  You can see forever!
