My friend and fellow blogger over at
Things Rattling Around In My Head calls these creatures "tippy toes". This one has taken up under my carport, and doesn't have a proper name yet....probably Spook or Haint because it's rarely seen. Mostly in the mornings, rarely in the evenings. This morning was the closest encounter yet, I was able to get within about three feet before his caution overcame his curiosity. But today, he didn't just run away completely. He would just back up to a comfortable distance.
